The igniter uses 6V (4×AA batteries) to generate a continuous high-energy electrical spark at its stainless steel tip. Placed near a gas burner, it reliably ignites gas from a safe distance of 2 to 10 feet, eliminating the need for open-flame lighters or close-proximity ignition.
What length should I choose? +
Available in 2 to 10 feet. Shorter models (2–4 ft) suit accessible burners; longer models (6–10 ft) are ideal for deep furnaces, confined spaces, or high-temperature environments where greater standoff is needed.
Is it safe for high-temperature environments? +
Yes. Built with a heat-proof stainless steel and aluminium body, rated up to 75°C (167°F). The extended reach also keeps the operator and battery safely away from intense heat sources.
What type of batteries does it use? +
4 standard AA batteries (6V total). The battery compartment is designed for quick field replacement — minimising downtime during operations.
Can it ignite all types of industrial gas burners? +
